Abstract
The Book of God has received from working scholars a service no other book has received: the works on the Qurʾanic sciences are beyond counting. Among those who gave their attention to writing in this field is the Omani ḥāfiẓ Abū Muḥammad al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī ibn Saʿīd al-Muqriʾ. The plan of the research comprises an introduction, a preliminary section, three chapters and a conclusion. The introduction sets out the importance of the subject, the research plan and the method; the preliminary section introduces Imam Abū Muḥammad al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī ibn Saʿīd al-Muqriʾ; the first chapter introduces his book al-Kitāb al-Awsaṭ on the science of Qurʾanic readings; and the following chapters treat his remaining works and the contribution they represent.
