مشاركة العمانيين في علم التفسير في القرن الأول والثاني الهجري من خلال كتب التفسير المسندة

This study treats Omani participation in the science of Qurʾanic exegesis in the first, second and third Hijri centuries, through the commentaries transmitted with chains of authority. The first chapter offers an introductory study of the Omani figures with a brief biography of each, and the research rests on enumerating the Omani scholars, exegetes and hadith transmitters within a database drawn from commentaries such as those of al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Abī Ḥātim and Ibn Mardawayh, and from the musnad hadith collections. The second chapter studies the results of that database under the following headings: exegesis by transmission and by reasoned understanding and its principles; the chains of authority of the exegetes and the judgement upon them; and the manner of receiving and taking knowledge from teachers.
