Abstract
This research, presented within the first conference theme on the Omani contribution to the Qurʾanic sciences, aims to draw attention to one of the scholars of the Islamic community who made great contributions to the service of the Holy Qurʾan and its sciences, and to set out the scholarly standing enjoyed by Shaykh Saʿīd al-Kindī. It treats his life and formation, his teachers and his works, and then examines his contributions to the Qurʾanic sciences in detail — establishing what he added to the field and how his writings were received — so as to place his achievement within the wider record of Omani service to the Book of God.
