Abstract
This study sets out to bring to light the medical and health relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Thailand, arguing that the role of Omani medicine has passed beyond the geography of its own borders and acquired an international dimension. Events on the contemporary world stage have underlined how necessary medical and health agreements between states have become in confronting crises at both regional and global level. The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated this plainly: it spared no country, rich or poor, developed or otherwise, and no nationality or people, so that limiting its force became the preoccupation of the whole world. It is here that the value of medical and health alliances lies — in unifying joint international action in the medical and health field and reducing the losses to be expected. The paper examines how the two states have acted on that understanding, and belongs to the conference axis on the Omani medical heritage between theory and practice.
