إحياء الأخلاق الإسلامية في العصر المعاصر: دراسة في كتاب روح الفضيلة للشيباني وتجلياته في السياق الماليزي

The contemporary world is witnessing a growing crisis in values, with the retreat of elevated ethics and customs, particularly among rising generations, which makes the need to revive ethical awareness more pressing than at any earlier time. This paper proceeds from that challenge to treat the book Rūḥ al-Faḍīlah: al-Akhlāq ʿinda al-ʿUmānīyīn Naẓaran wa-ʿAmalan by Sulṭān ibn Mubārak al-Shaybānī, which presents a rich account of essential values such as trustworthiness, humility, responsibility and respect, and of how these are embodied in Omani society through religious teaching and daily custom. The study uses a descriptive-analytical method to set out the ideas and practical models the author offers and to draw out what the Omani experience carries by way of contemporary significance in restoring the standing of ethics. The findings show that inherited ethical wisdom is an effective guide in building the character of the young and directing them towards sound values in a rapidly changing world, making the Omani experience a model worthy of emulation across the Arab and Islamic worlds.
