روايات إسلامية تجارية عمانية ببلاد الملايو: دراسة تاريخية
Abstract
This paper contains a historical outline of Oman and a short account of Islam in the country, followed by Omani historical and commercial accounts in the Malay lands and their most important points. It then treats the Portuguese in the Arabian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, from which they set out to the straits of Malacca in Malaysia, and pauses briefly over the Ibāḍī Muslim missionaries, closing with the relations between the government of Muscat and Kuala Lumpur. The paper records the sustained attention of the government of the Sultanate of Oman, since the historical ages, to spreading Islam in the Malay lands, and holds that the subject requires deep historical study by those concerned with the mission and its bearers.
