Scholarly Cooperation between the Scholars of Algeria and Oman
al-Taʻāwun al-ʻIlmī bayna ʻUlamāʼ al-Jazāʼir wa-ʻUmān

Abstract
This scholarly session is among those rare and honourable occasions for cooperation in righteousness and piety, and for bringing out the positive contribution of Islamic civilization to the advancement of human societies at a time when they were not counted as anything of note. The choice of Omani society as a great model for setting out its effective efforts in the unity of the Muslim community is a sound choice; and the choice of the International Islamic University of Malaysia as the seat of this conference indicates that the two models are in agreement in end and in means. It is from this that the author's wish arose to contribute this paper on scholarly cooperation between the scholars of Algeria and Oman, tracing the exchanges, correspondences and shared works that have bound the two scholarly communities.
