Daʿwa Maps of Oman in the Prophetic Era: A Historical–Geographical Approach Abstract This study examines the daʿwa maps of Oman in the Prophetic era through a historical–geographical approach, aiming to reconstruct the daʿwa routes that connected Medina and Oman during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, based on historical texts and the historical geography of the Arabian Peninsula, in the absence of contemporary drawn maps from that period. The study is grounded in the assumption that historical texts, with their spatial and movement-related indications, constitute a valid scholarly material for producing analytical and interpretive maps that contribute to understanding the geographical dimension of the early Islamic daʿwa in Oman. The study adopts the historical analytical method and the historical geographical method, while employing mechanisms of historical cartographic reconstruction to transform textual data related to the Prophetic letters and the movement of Omani delegations into cartographic representations that illustrate directions of movement, reception centers, and the network of daʿwa dissemination within the Omani spatial sphere. The study includes applied models of maps reconstructing the journey of the Companion Māzin ibn Ghaḍūbah from Oman to Medina, as well as maps depicting the movement of the Companion Zuhayr ibn Qarḍam al-Mahrī to and from Medina, as evidence of early Omani initiative and reciprocal geographical interaction with the center of Islamic daʿwa. The study also benefits from contemporary geographical technologies in generating colored illustrative maps that highlight routes, distances, and geographical centers with visual precision, thereby contributing to the visualization of the spatial dimension of the Prophetic biography. The study concludes that employing technology in producing analytical daʿwa maps contributes to deepening the understanding of the Prophetic biography and opens new horizons for serving Omani heritage and contemporary Prophetic studies, and it is expected to show that Islamic daʿwa in Oman during the Prophetic era was based on organized geographical routes and reciprocal communication with Medina. Mapping the Islamic Mission to Oman in the Prophetic Era: A Historical-Geographical Approach
al-Kharāʼiṭ al-Daʻawīyah li-ʻUmān fī al-ʻAṣr al-Nabawī: Muqārabah Tārīkhīyah-Jughrāfīyah

This study treats the mapping of the Islamic mission to Oman in the Prophetic era through a historical-geographical approach, seeking to reconstruct the routes of the mission that linked Medina to Oman in the time of the Prophet, on the basis of the historical texts and the historical geography of the Arabian Peninsula, in the absence of any maps drawn in that period. It proceeds from the hypothesis that the historical texts, with the indications of place and movement they carry, constitute material adequate for producing analytical and interpretive maps that help in understanding the geographic dimension of the early Islamic mission in Oman. The study uses the analytical historical method together with the historical-geographical method, employing techniques of cartographic reconstruction to convert textual data concerning the Prophetic letters and the movement of Omani delegations into map representations showing directions of movement, centres of reception and the network of the mission's spread within the Omani space. It includes applied examples: maps of the journey of the Companion Māzin ibn Ghaḍūbah from Oman to Medina, and maps of the outward and return movement of the Companion Zuhayr ibn Qurḍum al-Mahrī.
