=520  3\$aThis research analyses the economic role of aromatic plants in the wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar as a natural resource of high potential for supporting sustainable development pathways and diversifying sources of local income. Although the region is distinguished by its production of mountain roses and a number of aromatic plants of unique quality, the value chains associated with them remain limited in processing, technical development and commercial marketing. The research uses a descriptive-analytical method together with an applied case study of Al-Fawwāḥ Distinctive Aromatics Company as an emerging model seeking to convert primary agricultural products into high-value products through modern extraction technologies. It analyses the effect of this transformation in strengthening the economic value of aromatic plants, supporting farmers' livelihoods and stimulating local entrepreneurship, as well as its role in activating agritourism and the experiences associated with it. The research also discusses the principal structural challenges facing the sector, such as limited processing infrastructure and weak supply chains, and proposes a set of practical recommendations for strengthening investment.
